note:
just in case you were curious, jon is against bootlegs of his shows. he usually doesn't play any new material before it's released because he doesn't want it spread over the internet. unfortunately, there's a big unsorted box of live jon brion recordings in the back of largo that will probably never be organized for a proper release. and how could you release it? however amazing it would be to brion fans, no single album/s could encapsulate jon's show. even listening to all the bootlegs doesn't recreate actually witnessing jon's friday night show. that said, without these bootlegs, i never would have found out about the amazingness of it all. ultimately, the recordings are here for people who aren't lucky enough to live in LA to see the show every week. and finally, these boots should be openly shared, not traded, and never sold. extra special thanks to the anonymous souls who recorded these glorious shows.
